So what can I say about this, other then it's finally over so you can eventually expect a return to the normal "schedule" of SAGE stories in normal continuity. That and you no longer have to put up with the gore/squick. So hopefully at least some of you enjoyed this.... or at least found it interesting as a story. Rather then continuing on with this loose collection of thoughts; have an Omake:

"I never expected them to have so many books down here," SAGE ran her fingers along the spines of a shelve of westerns in the room filled with more volumes then she'd ever seen outside of an actual library. Coming to a stop at a few hard bound books, she pulled out one, "I never had any time to read before. Look! New England history! I bet this'll be interesting..."

Opening up the heavy book she tilted her head down to inspect the copyright page. So intent was she on learning when it had been published that she failed to notice the movement of her glasses. With a thump they fell off her nose into the book, in horror SAGE tried to juggle the book in one hand while rescuing the very object she needed to read.

First the glasses dropped to the... carpet. Thank goodness, SAGE thought closing the history book with one hand. Before it slipped out of her hand and dropped. On top of her glasses.

"NO!" Once again falling to her knees she covered her eyes in anguish, "I FINALLY HAD IT! I HAD ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD!"

Looking up from her copy of The Green Hills of Earth Wimex sighed, "Stop being so dramatic, your vision isn't that bad dear."

Comments & Q&A: Actually not a lot to say here.

Q: Oh come on why'd you leave us hanging!
A: Because you need to use your imagination more.

Q: ...happy ending?
A: More or less. Their happy at least.

Q: Didn't SAGE get over FASTRAND-kun's death pretty quickly?
A: She's not all there B: The only other person left with her, sealed in a bunker for possibly eternity, is WWMCCS-tan. Priorities get rearranged.

That's it. Thanks for reading.

There was a potentially more squicky ending/omake that never got full written since it didn't really go with the story flow. Let's just say SAGE was truly alone and hallucinating, and that's not the worst part.

You know what I hate? When dA doesn't notify me about a new deviation. D:

A very creepy opening, I like it... control rooms lend themselves well to creepiness though, even without all the blood and the context of apocalypse. (I say this from personal experience, once went into an ops room during a tour of a Navy ship, it had all the eerie blue and red lighting and screens and plotting boards and stuff, of course they made us check our cameras at the door so no pictures.)

The entire scene where SAGE realises she's too late... damn, that was sad. Don't know if you were going for a tearjerker there, but disappointment gets to me every time. ;;

And the entire SAGE and Wimex scene was way too adorable to me, at least given the circumstances of, you know, gore and apocalyptia and her boyfriend just being iced in the worse possible way. My head was saying, "wow, you got over THAT soon," but my hurt/comfort-loving heart was going ":iconilavplz:"

But dammit you pretty much stole the ending of MY slash story out of my head! Unless I stole it out of your mind, curse this troublesome telepathy! :iconnojoyplz: Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but I'm not very comfortable with writing lovin' scenes so it will, in all likelihood, end with a "go use your damn imagination" ending too.

But omg.
WIMEX. SHORT STRONG SEME!!
SAGE. SOMEHOW TALL IN THIS SITUATION-SQUISHY-CONFUSED-MEGANEKO-UKE!!!
HURT/COMFORT!!!!!!

THIS WAS SO FCCKING METAL!!!!!!!!! :iconrock-onplz:

That omake was more horrifying than anything else though. Hilarious, but horrifying. WHAT A CURSE IT WOULD BE, SURROUNDED BY BOOKS AND UNABLE TO SEEEEE~ :crying:

A&C:

C: Oh yes just what we all need to imagine, a couple of anthropomorphized computer systems having a roll in the hay...

...

...No really, I'm serious, everyone should have that mental image in their heads.
C: I'm happy~!
C: The Crazy Card, always useful in situations like this.
O rly? >:3
